Hey, I'm Motolani!

I was born in Nigeria, raised in Ohio, and have also lived in Spain. Currently, I'm pursuing a master’s in Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington. Prior to this, I worked as a Bilingual Research Coordinator on a pediatric liver research team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals. My interest in serving individuals from varied backgrounds and learning about design, human behavior, and the social power of technology pushed me to transition to product design. I strive to leverage design as a medium for positive change and to bridge social gaps through inclusive and equitable design.

Art Enthusiast

I've been drawing since I was a kid, and although I've dabbled in a variety of different mediums, I'd say colored pencil is my favorite. My art tends to be inspired by the science-fiction and horror genres, but I also create illustrations that are more light-hearted and playful.

Amateur Dancer

I take hip-hop and open choreography dance classes in my free-time. For me, dance is fun, therapeutic, and, of course, a great way to break a sweat!

Avid Moviegoer

I love watching movies and have no shame in going to the theater solo to catch a movie on my watch list. Horror, science-fiction, and the occasional rom-com are my go-to genres. I'm also into watching foreign films.

Illustration

I incorporate eyes as a recurring motif within my art because I'm fascinated by the various forms they can take.
